IP Address

Is there any way to find the IP address of a forum user? There are some suspicious users at another forum that I go to, and I think they may be the same person. Is there and way to check this?

If you are the admin of the forum you can easily see it probably in the users post. Same for a super/global moderators.

You would want to the ip adress, ask the admin or a super/global mod if you can see it, but they should be able to trust you with it.

I've already asked the Admin but I was wondering if a general user could find another users IP.

A user with no special permissions, on most forums, can't see other user's IP adresses.

Just out of curiosity, but, why are you looking for someone else's IP?

Sorry, only Mods and Admins have access to such information because of security reasons.

You could put an image up on a website, link him to the image and then check the logs. To this for both users and see if the IP matches. Of course, that all relies on one crucial thing... whether or not they have a static IP address.
