I've got a 32gb 3GS, and my in-call handset volume is very low. I need to place the little speaker directly over my ear and press gently to actually be able to hear the person on the other end. Increasing the volume on the rocker does nothing. I can't seem to find anything in the setting that addresses this volume issue specifically, and I can't find something 3GS-specific on any troubleshooting websites.
Anyone have any deeper info than I can find?

*Wow, I feel dumb. The rocker switch does do something, but I wasn't actually pressing it through my clumsy thick case.
