I was considering buying an ipod now that my iriver doesnt work. The iriver has software that takes a dvd and turns it into a format that the iriver can play. My question: is there a way to do the same for ipod? Can I take a DVD and somehow make it a format to play on an ipod, or does everything have to be purchased from Itunes? If this is possible it would be a big selling point for me. thank you.

He he... Actually, I would recommend Jodix again too. For a while the converted files would make my iPod restart but it seems fixed now. :)

Too late though since iPodDrop kicks so much ass.

lol. I don't know why anyone uses itunes to buy music/movies when it's usually the same price if not cheaper to go to a shop and buy and you also get the disc, album art ,case and won't lose it if your computer crashes. Seems like a no brainer to me, but, apparently not...

Well I still go buy CD's and DVD's. After I buy CD's I usually Rip them to iTunes to place them in my iPod. Instead of carrying a big case of CD's in my car (which I still have in my trunk) I can just connect my iPod to my Aux in and listen to any CD or even podcast over my car's audio. Saves alot of room in my opinion. But like I said, i still buy CD's to have the cover and album art and what not. But I'm a old Napster user (I was in High School during the hay-Day of Napster, when it was all free. Anywho, yea right now I'm trying to figure out how to do the same thing.

I haven't dealt with CDs since I don't know when. There are the occasional burning videos to a dvd-rw or using CDs for my puter though. Either way, I don't deal with iTunes either.
