Ipod needind to be fixed

My iPod needs fixing now (my problem happened when I first brought my iPod). The problem is that my home button sensor doesn't work properly because I have to press the button at the side instead of the middle and now it's almost stopped working all together. It is now IMPOSSIBLE to jailbreak (yes it is legal). Luckily I could check that it could be repaired and it can.

Have any of you lot had this problem before (iPod touch 4G)? If so did you get it fixed or replaced (for free) or fixed it your self?
 
there are ways to jailbreak without a home button, I jus gotta look into it, because if you jailbreak it you can install zephyr, removes home button use, but what version is your ipod touch, and model

EDIT... on redsn0w there is a button to put your device on dfu I think, im still looking for you man. Not working you still need home button

EDIT II... how often does your home button work, because if it works mabe 1/15 times you can still enter dfu and jailbreak using redsn0w.

I tried jailbreaking about 5-6 times. The home button only recognises single presses. Anyway I'm getting it fixed in 2 days time :D.
