Hey all,

I just picked up iRacing, and as a part of my starter kit, I picked up a Thrustmaster RGT FFB with clutch. (planning to upgrade if I enjoy the sim world)

However, after I started up, I took care of calibrating my wheel, turning it and clicking done, ect. Then it goes to the pedal calibration. I push the throttle, then the brake, then the clutch. (the wizard shows the dot moving up and down as i press each, just like I would expect) I exit the wizard and go to test/race. The throttle, brake, and clutch do not work. I exit, and try to just set up the thruttle and brake, and skip the clutch. Same problem. (whenever I go back in to re-calibrate the pedals, it says that the buttons are unassigned. I also noticed that the configure controls button on the top of the screen never turns to test)

Just for kicks, I tried setting the throttle up to a face button, and then it worked. I don't want to play this way. Any idea why the throttle and brake will not work. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

Are you calibrating it thru the home page intro or when you enter the actual sim? as a temporary fix try calibration under "options" every time you enter the sim. I don't know what the real reason is but try that and it might last while you're in the session (and you might have to re-calibrate each session), or try plugging the pedals into your computer if you can. I don't know the RGT at all but I hope those general temporary fixes might work. good luck

Thanks,

I did try that out. The pedals plug into the steering wheel, and the steering wheel into the computer.

I tried both the general, and the options screen in-game. No go. Any other ideas?

no idea, the sim racing hardware section in GTP may help you better if you move the thread

I think Aaron has it right, I too am unfamiliar with the RGT pedals but if they could be connected to the computer via an USB adapter they might be recognized, however since they are plugged directly into the wheel iRacing might be having troubles seeing the pedals.

Check Thrustmasters website and see if there are new drivers and that might fix that issue, other then that you might need to update your wheels/pedals.

Tried grabbing a new driver, no go. Looks like I may just need to update. Looks like my $$ saving thoughts as a rookie didn't pay off.
