Possibly tied for rarest car in the game.
You can win it with a level 21 gift ticket.

buy what you want!

i got all the cars. only thing rare are varaitions of certain cars!

i like that car!! handles great!!

Super great car, lacks speed, but handles amazingly for a RWD... Decent buy :)

But nothing is called rare, UCD is random and trading/duping has made all cars just as easy to get as others...

It's not rare, but is a solid purchase. About the only thing that's rare anymore would be the different color variants for certain race cars (FGT, Clio Cup, Lupo Cup, RX-7 LM, Camaro LM, etc.).

I've never seen it in my UCD! I had to trade for it. It is rare! Just because you can trade for cars does not mean they are not rare. I'm glad you guys have every car in the game. For the rest of us the Falcon will not just show up over and over again.

Nope. Almost all cars now are the same, after du**ng. No more rare cars but if you don't have it then its might be rare. The ones that maybe called "rare" (not common) are cars that have Zero Switches & Zero mileage but wait for a couple of weeks or maybe days now it will be populated and highly traded-exception of course are the Stealth cars.
For me cars with higher mileage are "somewhat rare" as owners used them in races either legitimately or by "Bob's" rubberband.
This is Virtual playing - a car with higher mileage will still run like new (maintenance of course) and even have higher horsepower that a brand new car - that's proven.

The 2000 Ford Falcon XR8 comes very often now and its no longer rare. The (UK) Ford Escort MK line is the what PD should add in GT5. But, i don't want it to be traded so i'll just drive it in the Real World.

UCD is not random.

I know it follows a cycle, but it's random where you start at, and as far as I know there are more than 3000 cycles before it starts over again... Imagine the Ford to appear in the last half... then most of you haven't seen it yet. Or imagine it appears at a time where you haven't got enough cash to buy it.

That's why it's random. You never know.

Yeah, but the UCD is not random. Like you said the place you start is, and i think it depends on the PS3, not the account. As for the Ford appearing when you don't have enough cash, well thats just down to luck, or lack of it, which is in a way kinda random.

Put it this way: If it is NOT random you should be able to know when it appears :)
Unless you know which day it appears and which day you're at, random :)

In the period of 15 game "days"...3 complete ucd refreshes...the #91 Viper GTS-R Race Car appeared 5 times for me. One of those times it was listed twice for the same "day". The UCD spreadsheet has nothing about this and it has never once matched my UCD.
The cars have some kind of rarity value assigned to them...they will appear once every "X" days. After that, it is random.

There is a set cycle to the cars.A pattern the UCD follows.Pattern=Not random.

A car is only as rare as the amount of time you spend looking for it.
Being an Aussie, I wanted the Ford Falcon so badly. I raced the beginner Sunday Cup Autumn Ring mini over and over and over to refresh the UCD. I got to 550+ days without ever having seen the Falcon. You can bad mouth duping all you like, but if it weren't for the marketplace..... I would either still be looking for that car today, or given up on the game months ago.

I know when it appears...

I don't think many cars are rare as there are so many dupers out there (including me ;)) but I would still recommend that you buy it.

It's a relatively rare car, but as has been said before with duping no car is really 'rare' anymore. I'd buy it anyway, looks a good car and should be a solid trade item if you don't like it.

There are no rare cars in the game, you have a certain number of cars available and that's it. They appear and dissappear but they are never rare. The term rare is wrong. Something rare is only available in short quantities, while in GT5 some cars are only available at certain times.

True but if there wasn't any duping this would be different. For example, the Bentley Speed 8 costs aroud 5.5 Million Credits. Most lower level players haven't got enough credits so as they will see this car appear in the UCD they won't buy it just because they can't afford it. So will it do with the people who do have enough money, but the car won't appear in the UCD. Maybe the term 'rare' is wrong though.

I saw the car in the UCD multiple times during January & February; probably like around 3-5 times. However, I did not buy it as I have a grinding course going on.

I got mine about a week or 2 after release and used it online allot and I got bombarded by messages to trade it and they just wouldn't leave me alone lol even had one guy who wanted to "borrow" it lol, I didn't know any of these people and it was long before duping so there was no way i giving my baby falcon up hehe. If you can afford it go for it, it handles great and will embarass faster cars through the corners.

If you are not someone who trades, rare cars are indeed still rare.

Just out of curiousity.. WHO CARES ABOUT FREAKING MILEAGE IN A GAME?!
"Ooh I have never driven my car". What is the freaking point to have car and never drive? For those who care about this ****..... Don't ever go close to a car in real life.
