Got the game for xbox, did the young driver test (got A grade, huge fun) then picked Force India.

Is this game a much harder then 2012? On 2011 on Legendary I could win / qualify top 10 with ease.

Did the first quail last night and was dead last :scared: only thing I can think of is the car setup (usually use French raceworks)

So I changed the difficulty to one below Legendary and could only qualify 16 👎:grumpy: surely setup cant make this much of a difference can they? :nervous:

Any help much appreciated 👍

setup can make huge difference

try to find setup in one of the stickies or just search for 2011 setups, they won't be that different from those in 2012

I discovered that setups are basically back like they were in F1 2010, where you could run as much front wing as you like and keep the rear wing at 1 and still the car would be perfectly balanced. The difference is that so far in my experience, the low drag option is more beneficial to the lap time than the extra downforce from a high front wing. In my career mode I was struggling with the Virgin because I was running very draggy setups, just stick it to 3/1 front/rear wings and it should help.

With the 2012 demo being the first f1 game I've played, I'm not bad at gran turismo and I had to practice the demo track for half an hour just to be able to finish a clean lap. Another hour and I couldnt qualify higher then third to last. Seems fun but quite the challenge

2012 is a lot different, first don't expect to get the same lap times as 2011 as this time 2012 is almost spot on with lap times to the real thing. Im normally very fast in F1 , no slouch to fast times but I did Australia in 2012 and only managed 3rd with cautious fuel load and 3 stopper and traction on medium. I dont believe in this turning everything off because that isn't true to the sport. Also keep off the rumble strips, this will effect your speed, also this time the cars can skid so watch that foot when coming of corners.

I'm at Marussia now and doing exactly the same thing. Might give it a try tonight, but conscience says not to if working against realism... Similar to the 11/11 setups as well in 2011. I used it once, felt wrong, didn't use it again.
