Is ATS worth buying or not?

As per the title really?

I'm an ETS2 player, I have played many hours and I keep looking at ATS. It just seems to be lacking any real content and I'm slightly worried that SCS's plans will be to add the various states as DLC. I don't mind the odd DLC here and there, but potentially it would cost quite a considerable sum if all further states were indeed DLC.

What trucks are in the vanilla game at the moment, is it still very limited?

Definitely worth on sales, if only 'cause 'Merica!

Otherwise, Nevada, California & Arizona is pretty small compare to what's on offer in Europe.

PS. Waiting for sales on ETS2 & DLCs.
 
Thanks for the honest response. I'm assuming that ATS has a decent mod scene, which is what will be making the game more worthwhile?

I'm waiting for Viva La France DLC to be on sale, but I think that I'll be waiting a while. :guilty:
 
The real difference between the two in my opinion is the openness of the roads (and running red lights legally :P).
