Hi I would like to buy a logitech g27 but I would want to buy it in store but stores don't have it and I don't trust delivery's over $230 electronics so I don't want to buy online encase it gets lost in process or stolen or even damage on the way so is buying a g27 from craigslist worth it? I never bought anything from craigslist just sold stuff on craigslist.

Craigslist item
Do you think he will drop to $150 if I ask him?

Order new online from a reputable company. They'll give you tracking numbers and by that you would know when to expect your wheel. If its damaged on delivery, I've never had a problem returning stuff. They usually even mail you a prepaid return shipping label. I ordered a wheel from amazon and it was delivered without fault, I ordered a 500$ racing cockpit and the same goes for it. I also ordered a monitor which had damage on delivery and the company sent me a new one over night once I mailed the old one back.

The only real risk from buying online is: the delivery driver leaves it at your door and someone steals it, or you buy from a non reputable company and don't warranty it. Both are easily avoidable. Can't be home for delivery? Request it be left at your neighbors or at the closest facility of the company that delivers it and pick it up when you can.

How can I make amazon delivery it to best buy and I pick it up if I can't be at home? I saw a good price on amazon just $230 and there is a super saver shipping delivery option on it.

logitech g27

If it's a high dollar item most places will ship it signature required. If you are not home, they take it to the nearest FedEx or UPS shipping center. You'll then have to go pick it up from wherever they dropped it off. (they'll leave a note to tell you this)

Oh Okay so I can pick up at ups or fedEX and they won't just leave it at the door right? If so I can buy it then checking. So you sure they take it to the delivery place if I am not at home right because I want to order from amazon and they have a really fast shipping right now also that I can get by tomorrow.

When ordering you can sometimes select to request signature required. Or contact the shipper through the amazon page and request a signature.

I just ordered the wheel and hope I get it soon like amazon promised :) I bought it for $216.76 even though they(amazon) said $229.99 amazing :) can't wait for wheel to arrive.

I ordered a g27 from amazon the other day. There was only 3 or so left, it seems like the g27 is getting rarer and rarer. I tried getting it from a store and they said they'd ordered a new batch weeks ago but hadn't gotten any. Maybe it's expiring?

Yep. Logitech stopped producing them. Better snag up what you can before you only have Fanatec and Thrustmaster to choose from.

If the craigslist one will drop the price it's worth it. You'll be able to tell if it's really been used if you see it before you buy.

I get a lot of items shipped by UPS, and if you are worried about it sitting on your door you can do a couple things which others have outlined.

1. When ordering ask for it to be signature only. You might have to call customer support to get that. Some items over a certain amount require a signature.

2. Once it's being shipped to your house, it's easy with UPS, get the tracking number and you can have it be held at the nearest will-call location. There you can pick it up the day it would be delivered.

3. If you are of working age, ship it to your work address.

Rumour has it that logitec have stoppedaking wheels now, so I'd go for whatever you can get while you can

Yeah we don't know 100% for sure yet. It is possible that the G27 might become an esteemed collector's item. If a G29 does ever come out, there could be a gap in time from when G27s become even scarcer. Due to Logitech's business needs.

It would be a shame of they did stop them, their wheels are massive sellers.

If you can test it first, it might be okay, but if it looks beat, it probably IS beat.

It looks like you decided to get a new one tho, that is probably a sound course of action.
