Gran Turismo or Need for Speed?

I'm thinking of getting this game but I'm not sure how 'serious' it is.

I would say that it is closer to gt5 from a ffb perspective but the tuning menu is lacking in my opinion.

NFS doesn't even do off-road physics, except for The Run, but for the sake of answering your question, disregard that last bit.

I just bought a used copy today, not a bad game so far.
