I notice that i dont have time to look on the board of gtplanet when im racing a-spec. Well i only look at it if im really stuck with some kind of setup of a special car. But when my B-spec driver is racing, im looking here all the time.

So i started wondering if most of you are Grinding exp/cr in b-spec.

I have B Spec running while on GTP (like now, Bob is running the Dream Car Championship) or eating/on MSN. It's not 24/7 like some people tho :P

It's simply just not worth it. American Championship should net you the same credits as in A Spec but you have to race twice as many laps (with an inferior driver)

Pretty much.

While doing so, I ether watch TV or get on my new iPod touch and look at the forums/play games on it.

Mr. Bob got me to level 27 so far, now to let him race while I get some shuteye.

I use B spec most the time I leave it on an Endurance race when I go to bed and If I am busy for more than 2 hours will leave it racing in B spec, I do though turn the PS3 off in between these times to cool it down.

I did that as well before i noticed that a PS3 actually starts to become more stable when its on longer.

I have mine turned on for 8 days in a row now, and skip between A-spec and B-spec. (once i've reached 35 with b-spec i might turn it off now and than.)

The PS3 actually is more cool than normal, i just make sure i remove dust around it every day.

I'm at work, working my B-Spec to 35 for now, currently ~33.8...too lazy and unmotivated to take the time to get the X1 via the challenge lol.

I also run an endurance race while I sleep, and I just unlocked the 9-hour one, so that's convenient. The PS3 gets shut off a half an hour before I go home to let it cool down for an hour or so.

Letting it cool for just an hour or so is very likely worse than leaving it on constantly. Heating and cooling are not good. I never turn off my electronics unless they are going to be off for several hours otherwise I leave them on and I find that they last much longer.

To answer the OP I B-Spec when doing other things. I am already level 35 so now am pretty much kust letting Bob run the Dream Car Championship when I watch tv or have something else to do that may keep me busy for an hour or more. 1 mil for that series in B-Spec so is pretty good while watching tv or something.

I tend to drive myself... My Bob is level 9... but I am level 32 lol...

I just don't have the patience and nerves to look at Bob hitting others on the track when his car has 500 more horsepower :ouch: I know he'll get better once he reaches level 14 but i cannot be bothared to get him up higher...

I am but not as much as some.

But I'm having a talk with my drivers right now. I went to bed and they had a lap lead in the Grand Valley 60. I gave them the keys to the 898hp Audi R8. I leave them be. I come back and they finished 7th.

I let mine use the Zonda in that race and they finished 8 laps ahead while I slept. Sounds like you need to use a different car for your Bobs. Alos note that Bob can drive AWD much better so if you are having some issues there you may want to set him up with your Veyron or a good rally car like the RS200 with the proper tires.

when i go smoke or somthing else, my driver can not race alone. alwayse need his informations from me. drive slower get in front blabla. so iam wondering how you can do that...

tips or something like that?

The quickest way to level up Bob is to use an overpowered car like the FGT against the competition.

I just hit 35 B-spec. I think I'm still gonna make him do the 9h tsukuba because I just can't let him drive 24h. I will make them do 24H race when I know I wont use my ps3 in that time.

In my left hand = mouse and GTplanet forum

In my right hand = controller, B spec, easy race, fast car, ''maintain pace'' icon selected.

I've turned the TV sound off, stuck on some of my favourite CD's, I only look at the TV when a race starts, as soon as Bob is in the lead I turn away and just keep pressing X button (maintain pace) every 30-45 seconds...

I had given up on B spec after completing level 24, I was just so sick of it, I then concentrated on A spec until I got to level 35, now I'm using the above method to raise my B spec level..

In less than 1hr I'll be level 27 B spec, that's 24 - 27 all in less than 2 days..

Plus I've earnt maybe around 1.5 - 2,000,000

👍

Basically, yes. When I'm on here, that's usually because my B-Spec guy is doing his thing.

As you can see, I've recently been grinding B-Spec a lot.

Now I feel like I need to grind my B-Spec some more. I got him to 13 then just..got..lazy..

Oh, and the Seasonal Events have been fun, so Bob has been on vacation.

My guys are doing the Laguna Seca endurance race for the second time today - and it's only a little past ten in the morning :indiff:

I don't know why really. I'll just get to the Indy 500, and do that over and over until I get enough exp to go on to the next one. The money certainly isn't worth it, and I can't even remember what sort of prize cars I get any more - they're just that impressive. I guess it's the whole idea that I'm "accomplishing" something with no effort on my part.

I do Dream car b-spec to farm money, the endurance events at night to level up, and the a-spec online events when i can drive. ps3 always on here

Chances are you actually won. For some reason it shows the starting order still after the race is over. You'll always show in 7th. Check how much money was won and compare to what 1st place money is.

I left the Indy 500 w a 20 lap lead, came back and saw 7th and thought "OH NO!!! How much damage did Bob do to my FGT!!?!?!!!" LOL

My daily rota for gt5 is as follows
wake up ,collect prize and xp for last nights 9hr b-spec race, cup of tea, start nuremberg 4hour b-spec,read all new posts in the forums, help out where i can, lunch, grind for points and xp in a-spec ( not just ride like the wind in an X1, I mix it up doing races and tracks i enjoy racing), dinner, play online with friends, then before bed start another 9hr race in b-spec

rinse and repeat

I've run B-spec to a higher level than A-spec. I'm letting Bob grind some while watching TV or doing some browsing. The old boy has earned more than 6 million credits which I'm going to spend on some shiny new cars :D

To begin with I didn't know what to make of B-spec, but now I've warmed to it. Although there are a few things that could be better implemented I do find it a fun addition to the game.

To OP, yes I do, but I'm starting to question the sanity of it.
Games should be about playing, not turning it on so it can do something by itself -- and all the time eating up electricity.

My Bob race whenever I'm not playing. If I'm asleep or at work, he's doing endurance races. If I'm watching TV or relax, he''s doing Dream Car Cup.
I bought all Premium car with Bob's money and it's already back up to 18mil.
