For me I think it is. I have many nice car and have enjoyed many of races. Since getting to level 30 a spec and 35 b spec I'm not sure I want to carry on. I was getting into collecting and that has now stopped. I have 20 mil in the bank and have had enough of grinding to spend millions on car only to have to grind the same races to get back to that level. I have most 20mill cars, so whats left.

Is anyone else in the same boat?

Nope.

For all I've been tearing PD apart for this patch, it really makes no practical difference to me, so it really won't have an effect on how I play the game.

Because of 1.07 patch? No. Because there's nothing else to do? Yes, it's finished for me about 1 month ago.
Had some hopes that updates will add something interesting, but it seems they won't. Oh well, I don't really care anyway.

Hasn't changed a thing for me, I'm sure others are currently contemplating suicide though.

I'm not done, but I've been basically done with A-Spec for two months now. I run the Seasonals just to get credits. I can't stand to "race" against the abysmal AI on this game. It's not racing, not even close to it. Online is though, especially with the right group of guys.

By the looks of things in the past 3 hours, I'd say so.

I pop on and look for a good online race... single player has been over for me for quite a while now...

I am mostly going for online race .My A spec lv 31 and B spec lv 33.Not done yet . Long way to go because i only have about 300 cars in my garage.

Yes.

Until I see matchmaking and GT Driver's Club, and after PD's recent bonehead move, I have no reason to touch this game for the time being.

Interesting guys. Online side of things will still carry on for me but I don't know, don't think I can carry on grinding. It would be nice for some new tacks/races. I did enjoy the latest seasonals.

Being out of events to race, GT5 turned into a collecting game for me recently.

Now PD is putting all sorts of restrictions on getting cars or getting cash, I think GT5 will not last very long for me anymore.

I'm very tired of grinding Indy for cash, which I now need even more to buy the mil+ credit cars... Yes, this game is dying on me.

It's been finished for me for a while to be honest, I only kept playing it to complete the set of collecting all the cars, the trading cap means I'll have to put in months of grinding again to get them all which I quite simply don't think it's worth doing. I'll only race online with real life friends from now on.

It's a shame really because collecting put a whole different perspective to the game. Did I dupe, yes and if you don't like it post your comments somewhere else. For me part of the game became collecting nice cars. I worked for the 20mil and even gave cars to those that needed. I have 5 x1s (2 of which I earned) and was looking forward to lvl 40 to collect the colors. Noe I will not spen 20 mill on a car and go back to ocr, f that!

I've done all the races I want to except for the seasonal events. I have almost every car I want except for the $10+ million types, which I'm not going to bother with. 95% of my time is now spent is going through my garage and tuning each car one by one. Done? Not quite, but getting there.

For the time being, yes. I lost interest in GT5 and gaming in general.

I worked my way to 970 cars without duping before I said enough is enough and started duping one expensive car per day because I was fed up grinding for 9 hours (collectively, not in one sitting) to make 10m cr then see it disappear on two cars and be back to square one again. Funny thing was that duping a car per day kept me playing the game as I'd then use it in events just to try it out.

The thing that annoys me the most is if we actually had more events, like double the amount then I wouldn't bother so much about the trading cap as there would be plenty of cash to make from doing them and therefore plenty money to spend on cars without grinding the same events over and over. It seems like PD have just half-arsed things again, if they would give us more A-Spec events then people would go back to playing the game instead of looking for the quickest way to get a car.

If trading is the only reason keeping your enthusiasm for GT afloat, you really should find a different game. I'd be surprised if this was true for anybody.

no point in posting ehre but, to anwser, pretty much yah...and it ain't because of new patch.

Nope not at all, play online a lot, have the two 24 hour races to do in B-Spec and the last 3 endurance races in A-Spec.

Also spend a lot of time just setting cars up and time trialling them, improving my driving.

I still do some racing, A(rtificial) I(ncompetants) notwithstanding. My main interest was collecting, so I am seriously considering that I will give up on the game. I do not need the aggravation of grinding money to buy the remaining LM cars that I want.

I can live with the 1 million limit but to restrict the sends to one per console strikes me as a little Draconian.

Online racing leagues a couple of times a week for me is all.

I had been buying myself a nice new car each day and taking it for a drive, but I guess that's over now. The best I can hope for is one a week IF they bring seasonals back into the picture.

What else is there to keep it afloat? A-Spec? Done. B-Spec? Crap. Special events? Done. Online? Only play there with real life mates. The game has nothing left to offer.

Not finished yet, level 38 A spec, level 40 B spec, special events finished, got all cars, done all races except nürburgring 24h endurance, can't wait to reach level 40 to do it.

Well said, back to black ops I think. Honestly I think there will be alot of people in my/our situation. Maybe I'll come on to race online once in a while. Just wanted to see if others were in the same situation.

Umm wow, crudos to you mate. That is some driving!

1.07 made the game better for me, so I'll be playing it more.

Driving a fully tuned Fiat 500 '68 around Eifel Short? If you think GT is a game that you should complete then leave, then that's your choice. I however, think it's about cars and driving, so as long as I'm not bored with all the cars themselvesn, I'm gunna keep playing.

While it's a timely thread. we already have a thread asking "Do You Still Play GT5"

Please resurrect that one, instead.
