I love playing Gran Turismo but I am so bad at it. I just manage to bronze most of the licenses, I need a much powerful car to beat the harder races and only managed the beginers and Intermediate on special events, Havent managed 1 season event yet. BUT I LOVE PLAYING IT. I spent £80 on a wheel but so far thats just made me worse. My B spec drivers are better than me as they are lvl 31 where I am lvl 27. I have managed to get golds (mostly better cars used) in all normal races apart from FGT and Nascar which I am sooo bad at. In all Gran turismo's I use the middle of a car to get past cars at corners but obviously in licences and special events you get disqualified. :sick::sick:
 
There is allways, need for speed :)
 
Practice and keep trying. Try to drive clean not bumping the AI off track or cutting them off and just keep driving. You will only get better.

Got Need for Speed Hot Pursuit for christmas but compared to GT5 it will be weeks before it will even get out of its packaging :crazy:
 
The only thing I can recommend is to keep trying. Also, if you are driving with an Automatic transmission and other assists, start learning how to drive without them - they make a world of difference, especially a Manual transmission.

Additionally, you should look into tuning your cars some, if you haven't already. Please note that by tuning, I mean actually configuring them, not just buying the highest end parts in every category (in fact, maxing everything can be detrimental to many cars). For example, the NASCAR series (specifically Daytona) uses a wide range of tuning options. Linked below is an example of a great tune that I used to help me get by the last race; the other races require a different tune, so don't use this for the street tracks in the series - you will ruin your tires and not be able to corner properly.

That being said - yes this game is worth it. I've hit many stumbling blocks so far, and got quite disheartened many times. When you overcome the challenges though, it is one of the best feelings in the world. It is easy to get caught up on what people on the forums say. Many of them tell how "easy" things are and generally try and act like the top dog. For the most part don't listen to them. Some of the stuff is easier, but many of us have been playing racing games for well over a decade - you can't expect to wake up and have it all down one day. :) The other guys are just trying to look good to preserve their own eReputation. ;) Enjoy this game at your own pace and, most importantly, have fun. If you aren't getting golds, that is alright - we aren't going to knock down your door and take your copy of the game.

One thing you said that will help you get better, you love the game, besides your doing better than me i'm only at lvl 21 lol
