Was there some change in the licensing tests?

Let me set this up... I have three different PS3 profiles, and two different PS3 consoles. I used to have two profiles on one, with the other on the second console. During that time, I leisurely aced all the license tests on pretty much the first or second attempt. I remember thinking how ridiculously easy they were compared with older GT titles. I now have all three profiles on each PS3, so I am currently taking all the license tests for each profile on it's second console. Anyway, I am having a much more difficult time "golding" each test now. I can't put my finger on why, but I know that I am barely able to keep up with the ghost lines of my previous (leisurely achieved) gold times. Were the test cars detuned in an update or something? I know I'm not imagining this. Last night it took me like 20 attempts to gold one test (and I was running damn near perfect runs) I'd golded with no effort at all a few months back.

The physics have been tweaked since release, more noticeably in the MR cars; was it specific to certain licence tests? or all of them?

Last night I was working on a game I'd pretty much just started. I was doing the international A tests. They were all giving me more of a challenge than they originally had, but test A5 was killing me, and I have a very good feel for Apricot Hill. I originally golded that one first shot, without even trying (no effort at all). Last night, it took me quite a while and my eventual gold time was considerably slower than my previous golds. I just could not keep up with my old ghosts, no matter how hard I pushed.

Forgive me, is what car is test A5? is it MR?

No, it was FR. The Miata Roadster Touring Car. But like I said, I was having trouble keeping up with my previous ghost lines in all the tests. It took me anywhere from 5-10 tries to get gold on them, my eventual times were all slower than my previous times, and it took much more skill/concentration to achieve them. The cars all seemed like they just couldn't keep up. I even noticed on a few tests, after I crossed the finish line, the time would stop then a few ticks were added after the fact. Could I be experiencing some type of glitch?

There is also the fact that PD changed the default suspension on all cars - they added more camber on some and lots of rear toe on all of them pretty much.

That no doubt will have an effect on the license tests as they use completely stock cars.

This is your answer right here. Most cars have become excessively pushy after 1.09.

They should adjust the criteria for achieving gold, because the new standard is damn near perfect runs. I just wonder if they considered this? I don't mind a challenge, in fact I welcome it, but it's gets old replaying the same few hundred yards of a course, knowing that your last run was almost flawless.
