One of my friends says that he knows a way to bypass the trade cap, would this actually work?
1. Delete GT5 game data to remove patches
2. Unplug whatever source of Internet connection the ps3 gets but stay signed in when you do
3. Start GT5
4. Sign back in to the playstation network while at the GT Life screen and trade any car you want to a player but make sure you connect back during the screen

It just seems so obvious if it was true someone else would have found it out.
Oh and he means the money cap

Step 2 is a bit of an issue - when you disconnect the internet, you disconnect yourself from PSN.

Yes my thoughts exactly, but he claims that the ps3 will automatically reconnect
Well I guess he means you can just hit the playstation button and sign back in after Internet connection is returned
I'll try it anyway...

The PS3 will automatically connect and log you into PSN if you give it a few minutes. Even if you DON'T have it set to auto (this is how mine works at any rate)
EDIT: i know this works because i regularly run into this situation when changing the 'net cable back and forth between my 2 PS3's.

Not sure if your idea will work or not though. please try and let us know definitively!

That wouldn't work although it should be possible to get online without needing to update your game data. You would need to use your PC as a proxy sever in order to bypass the update servers, much the same as prestige hacking on MW2.

Isn't that just a waste of time? All that to trade extra time if you dupe trade in the morning,I was able to send a car later that day

Well……you could 'take advantage' of the new glitch with the parts shop in the settings menu. Put the car you're going to trade on share, get that guy to borrow it, buy a set of tyres or something for it, and the car's theirs…

…I think

Well if it wasn't updated, you'd also be able to trade between accounts on the same PS3.

Interesting. Can you still use a car yourself, if you have it set to online?

Not to my knowledge. Whenever I go to my Garage to get a car that I have Shared online, it doesn't even give the option to "Change Car" unless I unshare it first.

Strange, I can use my shared cars.

Well, now that is interesting. :boggled:

I'll have to check again tonight, but going into my garage straight from GT Life, it does not let me get into a car that I have Shared. I know I've seen it more than once, so maybe I'm confusing the way that I'm going into my Garage or doing something wrong. :boggled:

Well, on a second note, I'm going to go steal my brothers X2010 :)
