Is it possible to get 1000 DIFFERENT cars

Trying to get the 1000 car award. I'm up to 640 or so and I'm finding out of 30 cars in a new used car showroom I can get 2-3 ones I don't have. I have a lot of new ones to buy but It doesn't look like 300 or more in the New car showroom. I dont want to buy a bunch of duplicate Miatas or whatever to get to 1000... :grumpy:
 
Short answer to the thread title -Yes. There are 1100 cars in the game, give or take a few.

Long answer - if you want 1000 different cars, make sure you buy up everything in the new car dealerships, then just be patient on the UCD. Clean it out after each race you do. The 1000 cars will come eventually.
 
There's also different Miata's, even though they look the same. You could look for the "already bought" symbol 👍.
 
With many of the cars, you will be buying essentially the same car. The Miata's have different names, depending on what country the were sold in. (Eunos Roadster, Miata, MX-5, Roadster, MX-5 Miata.) So if you get one, and I'm just making this up, that is called Miata 2500 Supercharged NA, the MX-5 2500 Supercharged NA is pretty much the same vehicle. It's just a country designation. The Vitz is called a Yaris also. The Madza 110s is also known as a Cosmo Sport. There are quite a few like this in the game.

As Barra said, if you want to own one of each, the best thing to do is to buy everything that doesn't have a check mark next to it in the Used Car Dealership, the Online Car Dealership and the new Car Dealerships. You'll get them all eventually, but some of them show up very rarely, so check the UCD often.

Yes it's possible to get 1000 different cars. Many of the cars look the same, sound the same and perform the same, but PD says they are different. I guess I have a "different" definition of different LOL :) Have fun 👍
 
Yeah I realize that there are 30 Miatas and 50 Skylines. :crazy: That's OK I just don't want to have 2 identically named sub models in my collection of 1000. I've already spent over $100,000,000 and I haven't bought a third of the new cars yet. Interesting challenge.
 
Sure is, as far as I know there is over 1000 cars and it's different cars.

I think there is 1080 Different cars or close to that number.
