I have had the same PS3 since the day they came out. The only time I played online was for Resistance. The problem was, that was ages ago and I can't remember the password or any info about the account. Because I have the older PS3, it doesn't have wireless internet. I finally decided to buy a cable to get internet to work. This way I could get the new updates to GT5(only thing that has motivated me to get the cable in 4+ years).

I don't know the password/security question. I have built up quite a bit of cars/exp on my GT5 and tried to make a new user and copy over the GT5 save, but you can't. To be honest, I'm retarded when it comes to the username stuff. I'm in college, and rarely have played PS3 let alone worried about being online. How do I make a new PSN username and is it possible to copy my GT5 from one account over to my new one where I know the username/password/etc.?

Thanks a ton.

I couldn't remember my password either. When you log on to the PSN you should be able to see the email account you used. Then when you try to log in for the GT5 website on the net, hit "forgot password" and it will send you an email to your account with a link. Follow the link and reset your password. Crazy easy.

Thanks, what's the GT5 website you're talking about? Is that on my PS3 internet or my laptop?

Its on the internet. Figured thats what you needed your password for. If you go to the homepage of GTPlanet, there is an article about it, and if you follow the link in the article it will take you to the sign in where you can say you forgot your password.

+1
I could not recall my PSN password because I set my PS3 to auto login! LOL

I selected "forgot password" and I was giving a choice of resetting password by sending a link to my email or to answer a security question. I could not recall if I entered a security question so I went ahead and picked "send reset password link to my email."

easy as pie!

Ouch! I thought i did. Oh well. lan is much faster than PS3's wi-fi anyway. i'll never go back to Wifi unless I dont have a choice. I get max 11Mbps on WiFi. lan I get 22Mbps.
