I had been on an 8 week road trip and had not turned on my PS3 nor GT5 for two months. While I was gone, PD released Update 2.06 which (amoung other things) fixed an issue where I can't hear my car at all in an online race due to the sound of the surrounding cars. However, by the time I had gotten home, Update 2.07 had been released and when I booted up the game for the first time in months, it installed 2.07 which was quite a small update in a matter of moments. The 2.06 Update (which was rather large) never actually installed it seems, as I still can not hear my car's engine in an online race.

Is there any way to retro-download an Update ?

2.06 didn't fix the sound issue, it made it worse. If you're on 2.07 then you have 2.06, the game wouldn't download 2.07 if you weren't already on 2.06.

This pretty much sums it up. To be clear, patches overlay each other and are done in sequence meaning you can't skip an update.

If 2.06 made the sound issue worse, then that would explain why it seems worse to me. It has been a couple months since I last raced an online race and it's almost impossible now.

I'll have to check the release date for 2.06 to see if it was before April 6th. If it was then I probably already had it. If it was after, then my original premise still stands since the time to DL the 2.07 would have been longer to accomodate the changes made in the .06 version but it didn't take very long at all when I got home and turned on the game for the first time.

Thank you for your input and help ... much appreciated :)
