Can my friend bring his jump drive with his game save over to my place and load his data onto a new account so we could race his cars? We tried it the other day and it wouldn't let us. I believe it said it was tied to another account or something like that. So we tried to make his username the same as what it is on his PS3, but that didn't work either. Anyone know? Thanks!
 
The accounts are locked to psnid I believe so try to link to the same account otherwise not without hacking
 
All you need to do is put the PSN ID on the new PS3 that matches the game save .. ( i even use the same account name given on my 1st PS3 when i transfer it to my 2nd PS3 .. ie "User 2" or whatever you named it.)
 
Create a new user on your Ps3 and sing in to PSN using his id and pass and you will be able to use his save data.
