We all have been seeing quite a few of these kinds of threads lately, particularly in the GT5 subforum, and at least I am starting to get sick of it. They're kind of starting to become the new IBTL's. There should be some way of informing newcomers that, no, wishlist threads are no longer acceptable here, they are not that useful to begin with, and that almost all of them are going to get locked.

How so?

Also the aim is not to stifle expression of ideas, but rather direct them into the existing threads that cover the topic. If new wishlist threads spring up, report them, and if appropriate, they will be merged with existing ones.

If we had one master wishlist thread, what would the mods have left to do.:sly:

Then we'd get more threads saying "well, I wanted this one to stand out..."

And they'd still be half-right.
