Is it Worth It

I've seen people already post asking is it worth it, but that was last year or early this year.
Considering the game is nearly a year old... should I buy it?

This is the plan.
$40 GT6
$200 Logitech G27
$163 Wheel Stand Pro

I of course will enjoy the game no matter what, but is it worth getting the game now, especially when it seems that GT7 is looming in the difference. I also currently have a PS4 and hope to get GT7 for it, but the G27 is not compatible with it, hence why I am wondering is it worth getting the wheel for GT6. (Although I do plan on using the G27 for project cars on PC). Basically the G27 is only for GT6 and Project Cars.

*Also if you do recommend me to get GT6 with the setup, if you have any recommendations for a proper wheel stand that is cheaper, that would be nice as well.

The game, yes. Physics are improved from GT5, recent improvements to the FFB make it much more intuitive to drive the cars now and you receive much more information about what is happening with the car.

Wheel Stand Pro, yes. Good value, not game dependent.

G27, maybe. It's at the low end of the clutch/shifter type of wheels and exceptional value for the price but the catch is, it's not likely going to be compatible with the PS4. However if you're going the PC route as you said, it's a no-brainer. Should you choose to upgrade to a T300 for example, you can get adaptors for the G27 pedals and shifter for around $20 each. I also highly recommend the GTEYE brake mod, adds a whole lot more resistance to the pedal, easy to install, and ships in days. Plus they are a GTP Site Sponsor.

I say go for it!

I am looking forward to Project Cars myself, but I'd also highly recommend Assetto Corsa. It's a fantastic driving experience with the G27. 👍👍

If you are looking into buying a wheel at this point then I would definitely look into next generation compatibility, there won't be many more racing titles released on ps3/xbox so it might not be worth spending big money on a wheel unless its going to serve you on next gen consoles. If you are just looking for a wheel for playing GT then you're probably better off getting a second hand DFGT or something, otherwise you've just spent a pay cheque on a peripheral for an outdated machine. 👍
