Does McLaren need a buff for BoP races?

So the last 3 seasons I have used McLaren and while the Gr3 car is ok-ish, the Gr4 car is garbage and is basically left for dead at every circuit.

It's gearing is incredibly long and basically cancels out any torque it might have, and leaves me wondering why Polyphony haven't buffed it. It's at the point now where driving McLaren is simply racing other McLaren drivers in your region for bragging rights :(

The only option that seems viable is to race for VW/Porsche/Renault because these cars are now naturally quite quick in comparison. Is it just me or does the Gr4 650S need a serious kick up the arse in BoP racing?

For reference I was 4th for all asian McLaren drivers this week as of thursday night.

Yeah I know what you mean. But it can't just be me because in one of the seasonal races at Alsace Village, Gr.4, the 3 guys using the 650S (all of us are A/S drivers) were back markers, I was the fastest at 15th and I know my pace is generally about a second or two of world class times but this was just dumb.
