I've been pondering over a cockpit setup for a while now, mainly taking advice from information posted on this forum. It's a hard decision, but for me the best value-for-money cockpit is the Obutto.
Before I place an order has anyone got anything negative to say about the Obutto?

I'm not trying to create a flame thread, it's just there seems to be nobody with anything bad to say about it.

Or is it really that good?

There's a big topic on the Obutto. But to answer the question in this topic, my honest opinion would have to be yes.

It's a pretty complete package for a very competitive price. I don't think the monitor position is ideal, and the keyboard tray looks a little flimsy, but hell, they're included, and that's pretty damn cool.

Not sure if it's the best, but you wont be disappointed for what you spent. I received the latest version with just the star logo on the front headrest.

Really the only thing I could find to nag about is the bottom cushion has wrinkles in the fabric (came like that), looks kinda cheap but a easy fix with some creativity.

Are you in England UK? An Obutto is obviously great value if you live in America but after you've paid shipping and Taxes to the UK I think you'll find you couldve had a Gamepod for the same money or less, just a thought.

Might want to check out the GT Omega Racing rig. Similar rig, similar price.

I think Obutto includes all the optional parts of the Omega rig as standard....so its actually cheaper if you think about it that way....

Though TBH I don't use the monitor stand or the keyboard tray for my Obutto...

For the price and the construction and design which I find makes more sense than something like Playseat, Obutto is hard to beat IMO.

Actually shipping is only €80 so you're talking €410 total which is only slightly more than a playseat and it's a much better product from what I've read. It'd be another £100 or so for a gamepod so i guess it all comes down to what kind of budget you've set yourself...

Shylock, I know where you're coming from but if it's a choice between a Playseat and an Obutto it'd have to be the Obutto. The OP hasn't specified a budget.... in fact the OP seems to have gone AWOL lol!

The obutto ozone is a killer setup I got mine a month ago and it is the best. I have fixed the problem of the flimsy mouse tray by adding a foldaway leg on the other side of the tray where the open slot is that provides a second support. The extra leg is made out of PVC pipe and cost me $5 from Home Depo. Also I added a 46" Flat panel with some modification to the monoter mount. added some supports with PVC and metal strenthing rods inside the pipes. the pipes are attached with simple T couplers at the base. all told I think i spent $40 on the setup and with a little black paint it looks clean and sharp.

Having owned a Tony Stewart Edn PlaySeat and bow the Obutto, I am MUCH happier with the Obutto!!! It is much more comfortable. The pedal angle is IMO horrible!

The Fanatec Clubasport Table Clamp fits the Obutto's wheel plate perfectly!!! Just 2 holes need to be drilled to anchor the back end down. I don't think the CSTC can be used on the PlaySeats' wheel plate.

lol, no I not gone AWOL was just sitting back and seeing how the thread would roll as well as researching other possibilities.

As for a budget, there's nothing set in stone but there are a few seats all withing a similar price band.

Shall be placing an order with Obutto before the weekend. yey.
