How frequently do you encounter connection problems in Quick Match

A month ago I could get into most of the races - let's say 8 out of 10 would run fine.

Today I tried it and manage to have one race from countless attempts. Not only would I never be putt into the lobby but I would get disconnected in the middle of the race or at the end of it.

Basically it didn't worked.

Decision to group people from all over the world instead of regionally might be contributing to these behavior.

How is it for you ? Where are you located ?

I'm in Italy, have 20 Mbps connection/ effective 1,7 MB down / 80 KB up. I can't get faster connection here. The zones with 50-100 Mbps fiber are limited to Milan and few other localities.

For myself, if it says World it never works. If I do manage to get in, I'll get disco'd before it gets to the actual racing. Before 1.10 it would work and made some online PSN friends with some great clean racing with very close results. Was usually few and far between in that respect, but that's another subject altogether...

I'm in Canada averaging around 25 Mbps down with 2.2 up... but for the past couple of weeks online stability for GT6 racing has tanked for me. Half the time in online lobbies the track disappears or other visual problems occur. But for the online Time Trials it is flawless, leading me to believe it is a server problem versus anything to do with my game or how it's saved. I really hope it's fixed soon, I love racing against my PSN/GTP friends but cannot without aggravation lately.

Cheers

@Baron Blitz Red - you voted that it always works for you, you know that right?

Anyway... I have a decent connection, and things seem okay in general. But yeah, I've seen that disconnected from the server in QM many times I've looked. Mostly it's my spouse doing the QMs. And I always figured it was because it's usually been at what's probably a high traffic time of day in several parts of the world.

But I've also heard people have quirky stuff happen after having been in QM, so I don't know. :odd:
Spouse was on QM yesterday... and I did turn up a car today with weird white wheels showing in the view. :odd: So I'm getting suspicious!

@watermelon punch I changed my vote to Always because I had mis-read the poll question originally...

How frequently do you encounter connection problems in Quick Match? = Always for me especially if it says World. That's my intended answer for the record... but thanks for bringing it to my attention, I appreciate it! Sorry for any confusion people!

Cheers

Yeah I had to read it twice. I think what threw me was that usually it's in order from 1 extreme to another, and we're so conditioned to expect that in a poll.

It almost never works for me. It will search for a match for a long time, then tell me it failed and exits out of quick match. I've tried to get on a quickmatch about 15 times since it was put into the game. Only about 3 out of those 15 times was I able to join the match successfully. I just don't bother with it anymore.

Even if it does match successfully, the amount of connection problems between players are ridiculous, I saw at least one or two gaps in every starting grid when I gave it a try again recently for an hour. Decided to leave it at that and move on, experience was as bad as described by others here.

I don't get why it's as broken as it is, it used to work better when it was released. That said, when the game itself launched I didn't perceive lobbies to work as bad as they do since at least a year now, maybe it's all been horribly broken from the start.

I had nothing but trouble until I read a post advising to clear the GT6 cache before each match. No problems now.

I revisited QM today after not participating since it was launched, and I didn't have any connection problems but could only see 3 other cars of at least 9 in the room. Fun, but it'd be more fun with more visible competitors.
