I liked the missions in this GTA--but CJ's motivation was never apparent-- he was bullied by everyone into doing everything it seemed-- he wasn't as fun a character to play IMO-- maybe it was his voice or his script... I don't know.. can't really put my finger on it-- the story could have been somewhat more cohesive-- shorter story line with more side strands (like the casino heist) and or have CJ get more involved with other gangs (like Fido in III) and making the gangs more interesting-- I did like Wuzi & Ceasar
The hip hop/gangsta rap thing for the story thing didn't bother me, but SA's lack of music variety bugged me (I was tired of SA's music alot sooner then in VC)-- there was some great bands in the early 90's and there radio stations available in the game were somewhat lacking in variety....
Also, back to my response on the first page-- I didn't mean to imply that the thread starter was racist-- but was pointing out that the way the first post was written, someone might think you were... apologies if I didn't make that clear.

Which is what GTA III and Vice City were, were they? No. They took a new marketing direction, one which was popular and could create a good storyline. Besides, one of the places you own is a Trailer at a Trailer Park, so that has no relevance or substance.Drifster

So you're saying that you've never seen white people commit crimes. Well, hell, come to Australia. The majority of major crimes over here which are aired on Television are committed by white people. The Port Arthur massacre a few years back by a white man, Martin Bryant. The backpacker murders committed by a white man called Ivan Malat. And I very highly doubt the USA never airs crimes committed by white people.Young_Warrior
Besides, you seem to be making a generalisation about all white coloured people, like Tommy Vercetti and the GTA III guy. Tommy Vercetti is Italian-American. You've never heard of the Mafia? John Gotti even? The Mafia are the most famous Organised Crime syndicate in the world, and according to your generalisations, are full of white people.
None of the GTA storylines are realistic. Have you ever heard any story even remotely similar to this? It's a storyline made because it's playable, fun, and marketable ... not because the story is realistic. Aspects of the game are realistic, not the storyline.Young_Warrior

Anyways, the only real things in this game that bugs me is that AI horrible, horrible, horrible driving and the dominance of rap/hip hop music on the radio. Whereas in vc they just played pop music from that time, and it sounded great!
