Is stoicism a vice?

I was wondering what you guys thought about this. I started thinking about this because in my psychology class many people in my class say that it is a fault to be stoic. Personally, I think that is B.S. So, what do you think?

Yeah, I guess some people believe that those very effects are what make life interesting. At least, that is what I assume is going on
 
Stoicism is a virtue insofar as it can be useful. Sometimes it is, as in dealing with ignorant morons who try to provoke negative reactions from you. But other times it can be a detriment, as in trying to get some ass, or something like that.
 
This is right up my alley. . . For my job I have to be stoic. If by any means I am swayed in the way I think, it might ruin my judgement on what to do. As long as I stay indifferent to everything it helps me. . . Now outside of work I would consider a lobotomy if I was stoic, but luckily I am not :D
