Is the 75% braking bug in the PAL release?

I searched the FAQ, I did a search, I can't find answer. I have the Driving Force Pro wheel with the US release of GT3 and as a result suffer the 75% braking problem. I was told this had been solved for the PAL release of the game, does anyone here have this wheel and GT3 PAL version, and can confirm either way?

Thank you.

Yes I have seen the guide on how to do this, but am extremely wary of fiddling around with any mechanical/electrical parts of the wheel/pedals, in case I ruin them for GT4.

So Spike, do you mean you noticed this in the PAL release as well?

daan does. But since the Driving Force Pro was designed for GT4 and is only fully compatible with a short list of newer games (including CMR4), not working properly with GT3 is to be expected.

Ok, an apology is required here, I listed the wrong wheel. I have the Logitech Driving Force (same style as the GT Force, black with blue trim), not the new Pro version.

The wheel is fully calibrated, it's not fixable that way - the only way to fix it is opening up the brake box and start messing with wires, inserting boxes, etc. I'm not risking doing that with GT4 on the way, I'll end up braking (no pun intended) the thing beyond repair.

live4speed, I see you're from Manchester, I assume you have the PAL version and the same wheel. Does your game allow 100% braking?

If you cant fix it with recalibrating it..then maybe its the same as the us version...if it doesnt allow you to shift more then once when the wheel is fully turned..then its definatly the same problem as the us version..

i dont have gt3 but i do noe that some controls or wheels respond different so that can be a reason, maybe try to brake early that might work, or do something about the controls :) hope this helps!

I do not actually have the PAL version to test this on, this is the whole point of the thread - I'm looking for someone who already has before I go pick it up.

i had the same problem with my wheel. i have the mad catz 2...

how i fixed it was going under the controls menu or w/e its called and changing the acceleration to the right joystick up and braking to right joystick down...and then when i used it that way i got 100% pressure out of my pedals instead of like the 75% or whatever it was before...

try that it might work

Thanks for that but it made no difference.
