Is the ban on mill+ cars closing the door after the horses are out?

It seems to me that this is a classic case of too little too late...

The game has been out for months and a arguably a large number of it's total copies are already sold and in users hands. By this point, isn't fairly likely that the vast majority of people who want to get duped mill+ cars (assumably the thing they are trying to prevent) have already done so?

And if not the March 3rd deadline seems like it's going to serve the purpose of a yellow light at an inetersection and just make everyone who has been procrastinating hurry up and do it...

All said and done, it seems to me that the end result is all the "legit" uses for gifting mill+ cars are hindered and damaged and realistically very few of the "bad" (if you can call it that) uses have already taken place...

I dunno... what do you think?

I think this has been discussed.

Then I commend your spellbinding and hocuspokery.

Ya, its been discussed and yes, it is a bit too late. The game has been in steady decline since the first month of release. Of my friends who bought GT5 with me, only I'm still playing the game. And so the people that remain, a large majority of them have managed to collect the full car list or near the full car list by duping.

For all of the cars currently in the game, this may come too late. However, this change will stop the duplication of new liveries (maybe?) and new cars that will likely come out eventually.

Also, not everyone in the world has an X1 or all of the rare cars. This change will not affect the people who own all of the X1 variations of course, but does increase the overall rarity of expensive cars in the game, and I think its necessary and worthwhile to keep it this way.

Edit:

And so the people that remain, a large majority of them have managed to collect the full car list or near the full car list by duping.

I don't think that the majority of the many people who still play GT5 have taken or even have the time to trade for or dupe the 1000+ cars in the game. Think about it, finding, trading for, duping or whatever for all or close to all of the cars in the game would be a serious time commitment and many of us don't have the patience or will to pull off such a feat. In fact, I would say that the great majority of people who still play don't even have half or a quarter of the car list completed.
