Is the gamesave tied to the PSN ID or the console?

I saved my Gran Turismo 5 gamesave on my usb stick a week ago and my ps3 just broke recently. Im getting a new ps3 and im going to have the same PSN ID. Will my Gran Turismo 5 save work if I copy it to the new ps3?
If not can i put my old HDD into the new ps3 and keep my Gran Turismo 5 save?

Yes, the save is tied into your PSN ID.

This is great news if the game save works like it did in GT5P or any other game that does not have copy protection. My "Fatty" 60GB just YLOD for the 13th time and I bought a new PS3 with Move. I was going to do the File Data Transfer (PS3 to PS3), but if I can just transfer my GT5 file from the old Fatty to the new Slim then I'm good with that. I will just continue to reflow my Fatty and revive it, but will continue playing GT5 on the new Slim.
