Is the Kart tunable now?

I have only played about 15 minutes on the new update. Now I'm stuck at work:grumpy: Anyways, I read in another forum where someone mentioned the kart having more power and then in another forum about tuning it maybe? Not sure... what do you all know?

I'm not 100% positive on this, but i think the Quick Menu is that settings screen right before you do the race, where you can change the tires and traction control and everything.

I don't remember exactly, but I think they didn't let you change traction and ABS and all of the other stuff for the Karts before..
 
Possibly the Power Limiter, not sure how it would work on a 30hp 100cc kart.
 
I would like to know this too. Can somebody check and see what settings or tuning options are available for the kart now?
 
All I've seen is your able to adjust the Final Drive, and First Gear, so u can achieve 100+mph. You can't limit the power with the power limiter. About option parts, I haven't taken it to the shop yet.
 
Just went to the tuning shop with the Kart.
Can't purchase / install anything, not even tires.

It's a little misleading in your garage / tuning screen, as Weight/Ballast, Power Limiter, Transmission, and tires appear to be adjustable/ tunable, but most are not.

The only adjustments I was able to make were to:

1. Weight / ballast
2. Transmission (1st gear, final gear, and top speed - max 140km/hr)

PP rating is 512, 33hp. (as a comparison, F40 =503 PP, GT-R Black Mask = 512 PP, and a race tuned Lotus 111R = 513 PP, that's some serious competition for a Go Kart).

Oil change, Paint car, and car wash are the only things available in the maintenance shop. (maybe frame damage?? mine is ok.)

Really wanted to throw on race tires, and a turbo/engine upgrade:gtpflag:

Oh well, still love Karting!

A bit off topic, but I have only found one way to make a kart faster, and thats to rack up the miles. Mine has gained 3 HP which is a whopping 9.09% power increase.
I forget how many miles it has.

Oh and on the subject of tires I just noticed the other day that Karts use Sport soft compound tires
 
As for how you would use the power limiter on a kart - maybe it could have been used for a "success penalty" in an online series?

Personally, I don't care for the idea of success penalties, but whatever.
 
Transmission is now adjustable!?!?! Yay! Maybe I'll finally be able to get sub 40 on the autumn ring mini now. Going to be a little more fun tuning this thing! I wonder how weight ballest will affect the handling?
