Is the new Mustang GT any good, it looks cool with the grille enclosed driving lights but I was wondering if it is an OK racing car and also what engine mods (turbo, supercharger or just n/a tune ups) it can get, any help would be much appreciated, seasons greetings :)

The Mustang GT is some of the best bang for your buck. Fully modded and with a decent set-up, it can get a very respectablt laptime at the Nurburgring (the laptime itself is around 6'30 for the "Stang).

Search for "Mustang" in the tuning forum. You should be able to get some quality set-ups.

I'm actually bit disappointed to Mustang GT. I did buy it once, expecting it to be a nice drift car, plenty of power so the traction wasn't problem.. even though it is bit nose-heavy. so I took her out for a spin at Nurb. and despite spinning rearwheels, that damned Titanic refused to go sideways. and no, I didn't have any aids on. 👎 :ouch:

Its ok. I would personaly get a GTO over the Mustang GT. I think that the new GTO is a better car overall. And I believe not that much more expencive.

I know the GTO is cheaper than the Holden model that its based off of.

Try moving your weight ballast to the rear. Theres something about the Mustang and Drifiting in the Drifitng Forum.

Nope. In my opinion the mustang GT was a great car if you just wanted to stare at it in your garage! The car had horrible acceleration and top speed for the horse power it had!The car also had this bulky feel to it! :ouch: Please, do not buy this car. Mine had just enough miles on it to get a descent setup. It's only use is to be traded or have it's picture taken. :grumpy:

The Mustang GT is by no means a horrible car, but the Camaro SS costs 10k less and goes faster, as does the Camaro Z/28 and Corvette Grand Sport. It's still okay, but for the money there are faster cars.

Well.......The mustang GT I guess isn't a horrible car. I must agree with you on the CamaroSS. The Camaro SS is like heaven when driving compared to the Mustang. The mustang just isn't my kind of car :yuck:

I think the Mustang is the car that lot's of people think sucks, but thats not true, decent control, and lots of power, good enough for me. 👍

For an ark, mine has a great power to weight ratio, in the top 10 in my garage. I tend to like the way mine handles, I guess i'm used to real-life RWD musclecars. I wish the '05 GTO was in the game.

It is. Or do you mean the '05 so you have the bigger LS2 6.0?

I have no complantes with my '04 GTO. If you want a little more power, build it a little.

I think that 05' GTO's looked better with the hood scoops and duel exhaust out the back.

But I figure this is only a game. I can be pickier when I am actualy buying a real GTO.

prodriver
too much torque at the bottom
How is that possible? Leave it to an import guy to say that. :) Just messin' with ya.;)

Yes I meant the LS2 GTO with the hood scoops and the dual exhausts (I know the '04 had duals, they just exited right next to each other).

Black on Silver
the car is better N/A isn't it? mine has like 660HP+ or something like that NA
Yes, I didn't have the money for the NA tune stage 3 at the time, and the Supercharger added more than the NA stage 2. I also like all of the torque down low. I use other cars for the more open courses that require high-RPM power.
