I'm at my buddies place & can't get his PS3 to go online, though it's got 100% signal strength etc. Is there an issue with the PSN right now/today, (eastern USA, if that makes a difference), or is he likely having some kinda personal network issue? (no issue with other devices on the network) As always, thanks in advance! :)

Ok cool.. don't really feel like mucking around with his network setup. Seems I've not been able to get it online for a couple days, that or I'm just trying @ the wrong times. Can anybody else confirm inability to get online today?

O.K for me. Is his internet working? Can he use the Internet Browser at all?

Na, his PS3 won't go online at all but I wasn't sure if it needed the PSN to load up the browser or what. (internet was working fine for the rest of the house/devices & it had signal) I'm home now but may start a new thread the next time I'm there, if it still won't sign on. (he doesn't seem to use it when I'm not around, so it's likely to still be jacked up, heh)

The browser does not need a connection to PSN. Only to be connected to the internet. Is his PS3 hardwired? If not, tell him to do that.

No, it's not, though showed 100% signal strength and has always worked fine wireless. (and I doubt I could get him to run a cable, lol) Thanks for the clarification on the browser's needs though.
