Is the PSN outage a blessing for development?

Does anyone think the PSN being down gives Polyphony a chance to re-do seasonal events or develop better ones, or even cars or tracks for that matter without the weekly Thurs 2pm seasonal update pressure?

For certain is does, whether they make the most of it or instead see it as an excuse for holiday is another matter but one would think this is the perfect chance to work on updates for the game.

Pfft... the time that the PSN was online and active was a good enough time for PD to get their act together. Nothing has changed for PD with it being down as it doesn't effect their working procedures.

PD blows... it's that simple. At most it will be the simple stuff like Seasonals and OCD being refreshed (which aren't part of the update). The next update will have a save for Enduro's and maybe the Championship Events. Other than that... don't expect too much from the group that have already made their money.

Not going to matter. They can do what they need to do without being online. Lets just hope that when PSN is back up we immediately get updates, that'll fix a lot of things, particularly the in-race saves. I NEED THAT ONE!

However, you do need to keep in mind they are in Tokyo, only 130-140 miles from Fukushima. I'm willing to bet most of all of Tokyo is holed up in their houses, venturing out as little as possible. The employees of PD have probably lost someone in the Quake and Tsunami so you have to bear with them and have some empathy. They have a lot to deal with.

Probably isn't going to matter. I just hope that if PSN comes back online this weekend that PD release 2 sets of seasonal events next Wednesday so we don't miss any.

It is a blessing for them cause they get a week off of complaints from people asking where the new updates are. Other than that no since those guys are prob at home smoking cigars, drinking saki, and relaxing till the network is back up than they will say they have no updates cause they needed the network to test stuff blah blah blah.

Do you think PD sit playing on the PSN all day? Now that it's not there, they'll have to go and do some work updating GT5?

It makes absolutely no difference to PD and GT5 if PSN is up or not.
