Is there a 0-400m (1/4 mi) track?

It doesn't appear there is a "test track" anymore. However, I guess you could create a 1/4 mile track straight in the creator.

yeah i can not believe they have taken the test track away. atleast they have that drag straights. even theo they are alot longer then 400m i reckon they will atleast have a quater mile split time.. surely

This is pretty saddening for me, in previous GT's I always liked to run machine tests on all my cars before and after modifications with recorded timings (0-400, 0-1000 and top speed). Lack of machine test is very suprising to me. GT PSP even had the test course.

Remember the footage where those two LM cars speeded against eachother? Wasn't that at Top Gear track? I hope the strip unlocks at some level later among other hidden things.

No, which is odd as it must be a relatively simple track to make and has been a important part of every past GT.

For a game that took so long it feels very rushed.

Which also doesn't have a 1/4m run.
Are you being intentionally argumentative? No, Special Stage Route 7 does not have a quarter-mile drag strip. There is no official quarter-mile drg strip in the game, the the Las Vegas strip in GT4. But SSR7 has the closest thing to a quarter-mile in the game: those ultra-long straights through the tunnel. No, the game does not time your run. No, the game does not record your top speed along it. But it's the closest that you're going to get.

Which is of no use then ,

Does say in the written manual for Course Maker about being able to make point - point track though it is yet to be seen in the Course Maker menu .

The Top Gear Test Track is an airport, soo, you can go really fast there, just don't turn :)

And the SS7 in 99% are turns ;)

Anyone tried making something of the sort with the track creator yet? I'm going to use it for the first time in a few minutes and see what can be done.

It's as good as you're going to get.

Point-to-point stages in the course editor are not yet available. And if they were, the game would not actually recognise it as a drag strip. Plus, you wouldn't be able to build a flat circuit.

I'm surprised there is no kind of 0-400m and 0-1000m sprint on the Top Gear track as you can still do the stopping tests in the licences. I haven't checked for myself but if there is one included in this game I figured it would be something to do with that track.

Hey, but on the GT5 Trailler, shows a 787B and a Audi R8, i think, in an airport, near the red bull "house"

in a drag track, just search on YouTube

Nobody has tried to create a Drag Strip yet? I was leaning towards the Top Gear Test Track to create a 1/4 mile and maybe even a 1 mile. Has anyone ever heard of the Texas Mile? Bascially you have one mile to reach 200MPH and become part of an elite club - Sounds fun?

Here is the Link for the Texas Mile

From another post it looks like Point to Point is not enabled at this point which would prevent a Drag Strip from being setup. If DLC comes out for a Strip then count me in. Doing some "Pinks" style races would be cool: Lose the Race Gift your Car!
