Hi all,

I've been driving the R18 Anniversary Car around for much of the career mode however I'm beginning to dislike it. It just doesn't seem to be all that so was wondering if there's a 'nicer' or 'better' LMP to use and I'd like to know everyone's opinions here as all of yours will have more experience and knowledge as I'm still learning the ropes.

Cheers :)

Sauber is good, I dont like the sound of GT-One back in GT5, Audi R8 is good if they are still around. Idk, maybe you should define "nicer" and "better" first. Are you looking for more forgiving prototypes?

Apologies, my definitions were a bit vague. My idea of 'better and nicer' were perhaps better performance and/or more forgiving to drive. It doesn't seem to like high speed braking greatly, nor does it like bumps. Also - it doesn't seem to have enough downforce (even on max).

Let me get this straight, you've been driving the 15th Anniversary R18 right? If so, drive the R18 Audi Sport Team Joest. It's a bit more forgiving than the 15th Anniversary Edition, and provides a bit more downforce, better braking power, and about 60 more horsepower. On the downside, it consumes gas like a 🤬.

Or you could try the Bentley Speed 8.

I take it the Audi's not that great then :D Thanks for all the suggestions, I'll sit on it a while as I can still compete in the races and the Super 'endurance' races, it's just I know there are better tools for the job there..

The MINOLTA was the best in GT5, maybe try that one?

As someone who raced in an LMP series, I would say this is false, the R8 was miles better than anything. I haven't tried any of the new prototypes in this game yet, so I can't say if it's the same in GT6.

The R18 is pretty quick, no idea if there is a better car out there though as I've not bought any LMP's, only reason I have one is the 15th Anniversary Edition. I'd guess the 908 is still a good bet, as is the Sauber C9.

Been running these settings on it, no turning, just an oil change. Unstable at really high speed, but everything seems to be in this game if its got any amount of downforce.

It also isn't even close to being the best on any top speed tracks.

I did like the r18 but the R92c, gt one, Judd, 987b are all better with the right settings(even without). TDI r10 is still my favorite Audi racer.

The '13 DeltaWing is good, but it lacks a little straight-line speed.

The Minolta Toyota is the one I like most.

Make no mistake the R18 is very, VERY good and it wins all races it enters easyli, exept for maybe the ride like the wind series but thats why i got the toyota MINOLTA :-)

In that case, may I suggest R8, Speed 8, Mazda, C9, the Nissan ones were all very forgiving cars back in GT5 days. Idk about GT6 as I only have 200k right now XD

In standard trim the R18 has 550hp the sauber, R92c come close to doubling that. A spec 2 turbo gets it to 800hp & makes it competetive. Its not my 1st choice but i got it as a ann car. Lowering the springs help make it less twitchy.

Well I bucked the trend and got a Pescarolo, because I found the AI rabbit in one of those was a relentless son-of-a..!

No regrets at all, even at low PP on RH tyres. It's paid itself off already as well :)

after looking at all of them I decided on the Pescarolo C60 Hybride....won all the races with ease but it does need a lil tunning on the diff..it tends to glace the tires thru the first gears
and from what I saw in another thread it will be handy later on for the 24 min of Lemans because it is supposedly better on fuel than the other lmp cars

The Pescarolo is a beast. Fully tuned, it hits 280 with ease. Highly recommend. But, you can't really go wrong with any of them.
