Is there a way to block people from sending you mail in community pane

Is there a way to block people from sending you mail in community panel? I am getting annoyed that some people are spamming my mail all the time, I tried blocking them on PSN but that didn't work on the GT5 mail. I don't want these people spamming my mail anymore:tdown:. Is there a way to stop that?
Please answer ASAP.

If they're blocked on your friendlist, on the PlayStation, they shouldn't be able to access your profile page, let alone message you either via PSN nor GT Life, as they're no longer your "friend". I'm not sure what's causing this, but;

- Have you tried restarting the PlayStation and/or GT5? And, have you tried deleting your previous "friend" from the blocked-users list, and then "re-block" them?

Well this person was never my friend and he just randomly started spamming my messages. I tried both methods but he is still spamming my messages.
 
Like Dean said, if they are on your block list in the XMB menu, then they shouldn't be able to send you anything. Make sure they are on that list. Sometimes it acts a little funny so yea, you may have to restart and check again to make sure they are on there.
 
Isn't there an option to remove the mail icon in GT5 for people who aren't your friends? I think it's in GT Life, in the top four options of the menu on the left (a gear icon?). I'm not sure it'd help when they can already reply though... if it doesn't work, report them to Sony on their website.
 
I'm on protection mode because of the spammer.I did the thing mistersafeway was talking about. I still don't like this.

How can the spammer be blocked on PSN but still be able to send mail on GT5 to me?! I need help fast. I don't know what to do now.

Everyday I see them on the block list. But they can send messages to me still on GT5? I know they can't now because I tried the protection method, but I really don't want to stay in protection much longer. I bet he is just waiting until I am out of protection so he can spam me a 1000 times (note:his spamming includes swearing).
