Out there that looks more realistic than the nex gen GT racers? I'm yet to see a racer that matches GT3 in realistic graphics. I was playing GT3 today, perfecting my skills for GT4 online play  and I watch the replay and I really thought I was looking at the Lemans, I was testing my 787B car. Gt3 really is amazing, it's 2 years old and still amazes, not alot of games do that. Now GT4 is coming, oh man, that game will fool me every second I play it lol and I can't wait to race online. Man if they have the Bentley speed6 I will own GT4 and best everyone online haha :D

Thats a bold statement about the speed6. Go to the OLR forum, try some of there races and post a time, what car used, track, etc...and lets see what you got :)

The graphics in GT3 are looking pretty dated now - I was racing on Cote de Azur this morning and I couldn't take my eyes off the scenary - all the buildings were flat and the trees are worse than those on NSF3.
If you want to argue about realsim, PGR and SegaGT both have better car models than GT3, though I like some of the GT3 reflections - I think that what some people think is over the top looks about right to me.
The reflections and textures are very blocky on GT3, though. The crowds are hideously static and very obviously 2D. The lights on the cars don't light up the road at all, but the glare from the sun is quite nice.
Shadows don't touch cars at all - you can pass under wall and tree shadows and your car isn't affected. That really annoys me.

Oh, and my car levitates when it gets into the pits...

If you haven't seen a racer yet that has more realistic graphics than GT3, I suggest you get new glasses - preferably ones that allow you to see out of more than one eye.

How can u say Sega GT and PGR2 models are better, no chance the models in PGR2, they look so blocky and stale, have you seem the buildings in PGR2, they didnt even bother to remake them from MSR, the Dreamcast version.

Well I disagree with you on pgr2 and segagt with better models. Those cars in those two games are badly made. They have no realism in them and that's a sad example of how a car model should. Yes gt3 has the flat buildings but when you see those cars moving, that's when the realism kicks in. Let me ask you this, when you saw pgr or segagt did they fool you in thinking they were real, I don't think so, when I got gt3 it fooled me all the time no lie. No racer out there can touch the realistic look of gt3 hands down.
Maybe you should try glasses and see how bad other racing game car models look compared to gt3, or gtc02, or gt4. This is from gtc02, it uses an enhanced gt3 engine I think, I got this game and it's awesome but you were jokking when you said there are other racers with better models and look more realistic, I hope you were if not show me something that looks better and more realistic than this car below. I love that car, hope it's in gt4.

The Bentley Speed 6 actually was Bentley's racer from 1926-1930 btw

Don't just say something with no proof behind it. You are right about the car, but I think the Car originally stated was suppose to be the Speed 8 for the fact it was being compared to the 787B :D

Well I was halfway there, it's the EXP speed 8, so famine you were right.

The ingame graphics of this game:

Often out do GT3, but better than that, it's also free:)

So there's one game. IMHO there's no pc game released in the last year that has graphics worse than GT3.
As for car models, don't trust screenshots, they can be set up to hide the bad parts of the car. Instead, go out and hire an Xbox / PC / other game playing machine of your choice, and a recent car game and see for yourself.

Well thxs for the neat site, I'll check it out but still no racer out has fooled me in thinking it was real, gt3 still fools me.

Racer has better graphics depending on who models the car becuase Racer is a game made for people to create their own cars and tracks with. Have you seen the track that comes with Racer when you download it? It looks a lot worse compared to GT3's tracks. The only thing that GT3 has lacked in the car detail department is a proper interior, instead the windows are very tinted to hide the non-exsistant interior. The thing that makes GT3 better looking is the way you could be walking past someone playing GT3 and from a distance you swear it is real especially the replays. The thing that would make GT4 so much more realistic would be to have options to simulate a clutch with manual transmissions etc.
