Is there any way to speed up the steering response on the X1?

I ask this because at the moment I cant take chicanes at full speed because the steering wont stop turning left quick enough for the right after it.

The one on SSR5 is quite hard full throttle despite having plenty of grip the first chicane of the swimming pool at monaco is another I can do these full throttle in an F10.

I haven't had any problems with the chicanes at Monaco in my X2010. What controller/wheel do you use?

Most likely your solution is in the toe setting of the car. Toe out will make the car more responsive in corners but harder to control on straights.

Are you trying them at full throttle in the X2010?
