Is there really a need for time restriction?

in my opinion, the demo's being released (that seem to be flying out, with the bmw and audi one's recently along with prologue) really shouldnt have a time limit, especially when racing on the nurburgring. you want a few decent laps to get used to playing the track instead of starting the demo again and going through the options etc etc. what do you lot think about this? do you agree? if not, why not? cheers :O)

The limit may well be there in order to not give you an advantage in the final game or more than likely want you to actually purchase the game so that you can finish the track off.

like in the bmw demo you get one lap then you have to restart the process of going through menu's again and loading it up. isn't that just an inconviniece? i'd much rather have a continuous flow of nurb laps then stutters, but thats just me. im a perfectionist :)

the time limit is so people don't stay playing too long at the BMW dealer that may have it on the dealership, that way there wouln't be a problem with the next guy who wants to play waiting 10 minutes to do so.
get it? even if you pause it the game will go back to the menu, the time limit demo is designed to be used at the dealership.

it also means that people wont just get a copy of the demo and play that. the game will not only offer more but will be more enjoyable than a game which not only has a time limit but essentially has to be rebooted after each race.
