Is there something wrong with my PS3?

Today, I turned on GT5 as per usual, and after a while I bought a car, I walked away to plug in the internet to do seasonals afterwards, and when I came back there was nothing on the screen, just black. There was no sound or anything, so I reset the console, I thought, it'll be fine. I decided to give GT a rest and play LBP, the PSN download one, and the picture was blurry on the screen, is there something wrong with the PS3, or is it the game(s)?

What's the ambient temperature there? Could it be over heating?

It's not warm, we're in the middle of winter (had snow the other day) So I don't think it's overheating.
 
Have you tried unplugging all of the connections and then putting them all back in? I had to do this a lot with the PS2 when it was causing me problems.
 
No I haven't, I'll check tomorrow (no point doing it now, I won't even get to use it for long) :cheers: Hope it works, however I did remove a plug yesterday and plug it back in, I think it was the HDMI cable, it could have done something to it.
