=( There was a time when this dude used to drift any car with his ds3 so easily. After he bought his G27 last week, its near impossible to keep a drift or even simply save himself from spinning out. -_- I can't countersteer to save my life! :banghead: every time i initiate a drift or simple powerslide the car either just spins out, or when i start countersteering, it suddenly just snaps and spins out in the direction i was countering the drift =( pwease help me before i go under my bed and roll up into a fetal position and suck my thumb for the rest of my life!!! lol

There is still hope, just practice. Find one turn and practice it back and forth, know the angle of your car and slowly counter steer. Or you could try using the search button.

Ya. I just bought one too and have had the same problem. Just keep at it is all it takes. Its a big change from analog to wheel. ;)

indeed it is a big change. i guess i just have to keep getting frustrated for a while until i understand how the cars' movements translate to the wheel. i thought it there was a trick behind it, but i guess its only a lot of practice lol

i went through the same problem. i would practice on autum ring the smallest variation. and its a relatively flat track with good variation in turns. i started there and it helped me alot ride it forward then in reverse. the first two corners were pretty hard when i first started. still learning though.

you just need a LOT.. more seat time, every wheel drifter has been there, it'll come to ya.

A stock s13 or 14, cappuccino or an eight-six will all get the job done.
Just make sure to catch the wheel at the right time so that you will not have "snap back"
Oh, and always remember to "Scandinavian flick" into the corner to initiate the drift.

Oh yeah those are perfect cars I use my 200SX.
That's my problem right there,I can get the car drifting and all that until its time to counter steers,
No matter how fast I try to flip the wheel back it always gets "Sudden grip" in the counter steer but I am using a new method which is using the DS3 for throttle and the steering by its self and I got some nice drifts out of it.
The scandinavian flick always seems to put me on the grass or into a wall.

thanks, i will spend more time practicing and less time racing. btw i strictly use manual and every time i heel toe down to second gear it won't go in,(1 in 5 attempts it will go in) probably the gearing of second on most cars? Thanks for the advice guys

I aswell just got my wheel for Christmas and can not drift what so ever if anyone wants to practice let me know good to practice with some people who are learning aswell

I was just curious if itd be easier to learn from the start even if it's not considered real drifting just to get a feel for counter steering and stuff

i'm gonna open up a room on autmn ring mini in about 30 mins under GTplanet g27 drift practice, or something close to that.

If you want I can join you. I am a G25 drifter and can help you a bit aswell. At the moment I can't drift because I don't have my rig now but this should not be a problem.
