The other day I was playing GT3 and accidentally went into the "car wash" without being in a car. I pressed wash, and of coarse there was no car spinning around, but the same sound came up and then it said it was done. THEN realizing what I had done. I went to my garage, got into a car, went back to the carwash, did the wash, and when the pic of the car was supposed to come up, there was nothing, I went to the oil change screen, did the oil change, no sideways car pic....hmm, I tried getting into a few other cars and trying the same thing, nothing. I eventually rebooted my PS2, and everything worked fine, like it was supposed to. Has this happened to anyone else.......

I guess I don't have to tell you, when this happened, I was like: "What the........".

well, I just tried to get into GT auto without a car and it wouldn't let me. How did you get to be without a car before you did it? I would guess you had just sold the car you were in or somthing? Gotta be a bug of some sort, or you were on some good stuff :p j/k!
peace,

I believe flip was dissing Polyphony for the bugs in the game. I figure they were just really rushed to get it out. There's alotta little bugs in the game, but it's still my favorite game and the main reason I bought a PS2 :D Also, I saw this exact same glitch on a list of glitches for GT3, so you must not've been smokin' nothin, or at least not at that point ;)
peace,

You have to sell the car you are in.

That's it, GT3 was a letdown after GT2, so I wish PD was more concerned with quality than rushing it because they could have a dynamite sequel if they wanted. GT3's ok but I'd rather play than replay, if you know what I mean, all that time spent on replay programming and that useless analyzer could have been spent developing tracks or cars or the stupid people in the spectator areas could have been 3D(the dancing chicks anyways)

then sell it and wait for GT4. I kept GT1 and GT2 because of the older cars and just what great games they were, but have not gone back to the 2nd more than once and not at all on 1. IMO, despite some flaws, GT3 is still the king. They were so rushed because they knew so many people were wanting the PS2 just for the one game, not because of the anaylizer, or mostly already designed replay programming.

sorry masonholmes, Elvis is the king, joking, do you know how many people were disappointed by GT3? I am not a lone(shakes jowls and raises V signs).
I was one of those waiting for as much improvement over 2 as 2 was over 1.
That is not a pythagorean theory either. I started to like GT3, but its quirks are irritating, confusing :( astonishing  and make me smile hilariously :D

Nobody that posts on GTPlanet must think GT3 was that disapointing because your on here posting about a disapointing game, if that makes any sense, i personally feel that GT1 is the best but i can't play it cause the graphics look like crap compared to GT3.

Well I never. I guess I can say what I like wherever I like, and I hope by some miracle PD reads this and pays attention.
See, they might read it to see what people think of GT3? That's my strategy.

By the way, why would they take out the damage/tires, on/off option from GT2? Oh yeah, I keep forgetting, they were in a hurry.

Anyways, nice graphics yada yada yada.....

I didn't mean that to aound offensive sorry if it came off that way, i agree that there is alot of problems with GT3 and i also think that PD should and probably has looked at the posts before all i meant was that in no way was it dissapointing, it could have been better but it is still the best game. ;)

I have never expeirenced any glitches...except when using the gameshark...so i guess if you cheat you get screwed.....

and on another note....too many people were expecting oustanding graphics in a gaming console that only a new computer with agp can give. It is mainly because of all the reviews that were all over the place that were done by people who didnt have much expeirence with the PS2.

But the game is the best....all the others are ok and some are rubbish...like Driving emotion s...oe whatever it is....i didnt like it at all....bad controls and almost no ai

GT3 could of used a better AI engine but it was not rushed as far as the ai goes...what I cant believe is they programmed the ai to cheat, when youre playing fair....bad move

maybe the GT Concept will leave out the cheater AI's

Hey Flip, just out of curiousity what is the image icon you have connected to your name.

It may just be me, but it looks like a soldier saluting a nazi flag.

Hope its not that, just wondering

I think it's a bug that you can cut corners. If you leave the track with all four wheels nothing happens (except in the license tests). In real racing you get a time penalty. As GT3 screams out to be the real driving simulator, this is a bug for me.

Bugs are sometimes cool! like you'd wonder CAN CARS REALLY RUN VERTICALLY?????????????????????????

I think the most common BUG is the wheelie trick!
This should be the TITLE in the package:

Gran TURISMO 3 A-spec, the real driving simulator: (with lots of BUGS)

:p :p :p

A bug has more than 4 legs, antennae, and mutlifacet vision.
These GT3 glitches are "computer programming errors"

No, not nazis for sure but it's the joke, Bill Gates carrying a Microsoft flag leading a horde of brown suits, sorry it's hard to see, pretty primitive eh!

I just recently completed 50% of the game, and on the screen with the Corvette C5R turning, it said.... "50% acheived", so there is minor bug to add to the misspelled car name in the garage. :p
