After hours of playing GT5-P my controller has finally died:ouch:the left analoge stick has broken and now only stays in the "north/east"position and the rubber has snapped!!!!!!!I know its my own falt, but it seems when im in a corner i push realy hard on the stick willing the car to get into the apex!!!!
is it just me,or dose anyone eles suffer from this problem????
also just lately ive been suffering from shooting pains in my left arm:ouch:
I think im going to lay of the gt for a while:tdown:

That always happens when I use the toy controllers, they're just not designed for hands bigger than a 5 year olds. I think you need a steering wheel :)

seems to me you have to consider buying a wheel...:)

about your arm, watch out man, this can be a real problem,am not joking mate,be carefull there....👍

spyrrari.

I can never handle a car well in GT with a controller.. :dopey:
Therefore, using a wheel is the solution for me. :p

Ive alway used a controler and can put in some pretty good laptimes and race fair and square,my only problem with buying a wheel is the drop in pace when I 1st buy one.:nervous:

Only takes a couple of hours to get the hang of a wheel and from there on in there's no looking back. 👍

meh, that only lasts a short while, you'll be faster after a little while

if that the case then im defo going to buy one as the new wheel with the dial over here is pretty cheap!!!!!works out at around £100.All I need to do now is sweet talk my mrs into buying one!!!!!!!lol

Sell the missus and use the money for a G25. You get one of those bad boys, you'll have no need for a woman anyroad.:sly:

5, that's nothing, must have been let out early for good behaviour :-)

On topic: Try out a wheel in a shop, most people prefer them but it may not be your cup of tea.

The Joystick for PS2 I used in GT4 got buggered. I wore the springs out in it so much it can't stand upright anymore, and sometimes gets stuck in the one position. Luckily I don't play GT4 any more, but my PS3 controller feels like the spring has begun to weaken already.:scared: Good thing I have a wheel and will start using it instead once I build the table for it.

Tingly numbness too? See a doctor! :nervous:

:sly:

Doctor?! Did you ever play FFVIII? If you did, you might remember using the boost for GFs, and I played that game hardcore. Doing that boost gave me such an injury in my right arm, versing the Tonberry King when I was underpowered really killed me (battle took a few hours :scared:). Anyway, my arm was so bad I couldn't use it for a few weeks! Never had a problem since, 1000s of hours in GT, no problem.

Nothing to see here, move along people.

check out online shops...they will sell it even cheaper, bought mine here in Hollandia for about 80...:)

And sweet talk is probably not enough:sly:

I think PS3 controllers arent built to last espicially after i get pissed off and throw it at the wall.Well i did with my 2 ps2s which are now at the bottom of a skip but no i aint throwing £40 across the room.

LMAO
but im sorry to say im married, but am in the lucky position of not having to work, hense the long hours on GT:tup:

Nice I bet you are bored without GT. I heard my sixaxis making cracking sounds before but that was when I was really cranking the left analog stick once I driven the GTR in daytona. I did get a new lap time though.👍

I can drive S class with the controller but the harder ones are nearly impossible to get 3rd.

What you have is called repetitive strain injury (RSI). I got it a few times and it's damn painfull. You can buy bigger controllers that suit adult hands, they're called Nyko Zero. Check them out on the web to see where you can buy one.

Bah you lightweights, I've been using a PS controller since 1997 and never had any aches or pains ;) I do remember getting calluses from playing FIFA 99 though :sly:

I've not broken analogue sticks before though, only buttons. A common problem I have is breaking little plastic tabs inside the controller so that bits of it rattle around inside.

I use a sixaxis, but if you're really having troubles I'll echo everyone else and suggest you get a wheel, shooting pains from a game are not good...

First post here, hey everyone. Since the beginning of the Gran Turismo series, I've worn out two for sure and possibly a third steering wheel, I can't remember for sure though. Now I have a G25, I hope this one lasts!
