Earlier, I did a full-length Career Mode Grand Prix at Circuit de Catalunya. It started on a damp track with everyone on intermediates. By the end of lap 2, I was in for Options, a lap before everyone else. I stayed on the Option tires until lap 12, then ran the last two stints on Primes. Everyone except for Webber ran the Options the rest of the way. I started third and finished there. And I still can't believe those who did the whole race on Options had no drop-off in the performance of their tires until the end of the race. Is this normal when a race starts on a damp or wet track?

The AI is pretty "good" when it comes to extending tyre life. So this can be pretty normal - in the game. :)

Might be one of those rare odd races. I had a similar one at Shanghai, restarted the race (because my remote went dead for abit and caused me to crash) in the exact same conditions and oddly, everyone was on option tyres while I was the only one on intermediates. I pretty much had a giant lead halfway through the first lap and for the rest of the race after the AI pitted, I was never caught up with. Alonso was making up time, but never got close enough to get me.

What's even more bizarre is that even on worn options, the AI can still be quicker than a player on fresh primes. Crazy, isn't it?
