Hello folks, this may be a hugely nooby question,

I've returned to GT5 for the first time since May 2012, and jumped into my favourite car, the Lexus IS-F Racing Concept. A car I love because of it's snarling engine sound, loud brash and raucous.

I've just jumped into a seasonal race and put my foot down - and it sounds like a vacuum cleaner.

WHAT THE HELL?!?! :grumpy:

Did some sound update occur in the last year which ruined even more sounds in this game? If anything GT should've focused on improving the sound, not ruining the few they had got right?! :yuck: It also makes my review of the car on this very site a bit of a joke...seeing as I spend the whole thing banging on about how awesome it sounds...:dunce:

Anyway I might be missing something really simple, so any info on this guys?

Yep, the ISF is only one of many cars to have their sounds butchered.
The C5R race car sounds like a Dyson vacuum cleaner, same for the ISF RM. The only two that were given better sounds were the ZR1 RM and the Camaro SS RM.

And that one DLC car. Weiber or something. HSV.

Try the sports exhaust rather than the full racing exhaust, yes you lose a few HP, but it sounds similiar to what it use to sound like

It was meant to be a DTM car, so it got modded to sound more like DTM cars. So ironically, it's more authentic now.
