Issue with playing arcade mode - just quits out

So yeh recently (before and after spec 2.0) its impossible to do any races in arcade mode, you get in select a track the screen goes black and it goes back to arcade home whether its splitscreen, single or time trial. I cant find any other incidents of this via google.

Any ideas?

Have you try with another copy of GT5?/your GT5 disc to another PS3 console? ( friend's etc )

Nope, unfortunately nobody around me has it. Like is ay though it would be odd though as the disc is immaculate and it just stopped working all of a sudden
