Issues with the Seasonal Events?

Twice today I have driven and won 2 races in the Real World Circuits and the GT500 only to have the game lock up when exiting to set up my car for the next tracks. Has anyone had a similar experience? I used my DVD cleaner after the first time. So this last race (GT500) was after I cleaned the disc. My PS3 is just a little over a year old, has good ventillation and is not getting hot.
I only play Gran Turismo so I don't have another game to try to see if it is an issue with the PS3. My hard drive has only the GT info on it. It has never happened until the most recent update. I have raced a lot since the update but today is the first time I have had this issue.
Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I don't think it is a Seasonal event issue.
I think it's a bit of bad luck.

try again, you can start worrying if it happens every time.
If you don't trust it, backup your save game just in case.


On a few occasions I thought my game had locked up because the spinning thing kept showing after I accepted the XP for the seasonal.
When I pressed "circle" it went away.
