I'm back!! Back from the abyss with no internet connection. IT WAS HELL.
After 3 weeks of no GTPlanet my face kinda looked like this car, i.e. very much ticked off.
Created by Giorgetto and Fabrizio in order to celebrate 50th anniversary of an American icon, a perfectly fine C5 Corvette Z06 was ruthlessly stripped, chopped and carefully probed into this one-off.
Doors are a gull wing affairs, of course, but unusually they are hinged on the b-pillar.
Incidentally above pics are from 2003 Pebble Beach. Can you identify other cars in the pics?
Press blurb from Italdesign beats around the bush a little but I believe there were no power upgrades, nor any substantial chassis mods.
If you are wondering what the heck is a Moray and why an Italdesign Corvette is called one, then I have a slightly bad news for you, if you are a Corvette fan: Moray is apparently an eel-type fish found in waters of Mediterranean.
As usual, if you can find more info please be kind and share. Thanks!
