it looks like the principal characters are american. personally, rather it be more toward the english side. much of the first movies cast was english, the original movie was a european movie, and some how americans going through rome in minis does not mesh. casting is so so.

something about america, call it culture or the distance of oceans, but casting them does not fit right. you could cast 5 turks, 2 frenchmen and one guy from spain and it would work better to me. something about the european connection. micheal caine seems healthy, did he decline? i think he was in the first version.

I can't watch the trailer, but I assume by your comments that it's an Americanised version of the origianal. Like most remakes i'm sure it will dissapoint.

Heh, I have the origianal version on DVD and it's still one of my favorite films. Classic cars, English mobsters and my favorite car chase scene.
 
Well given that I loathe Michael Caine, his absence will be a good thing for me! What are they goann do in the opening of this one? Crash a Murcielago?
 
haha cool!its got Turkish (the dude from snatch, lock stock and two smoking barrels, the one, the transporter) looks interesting, the car chase at the end looks different, not the kind of cars you susally see in a big hollywood car chase :lol:
 
I like the part where the evil bad guy (as opposed to the good bad guys) says something like "where the hell is my truck?" and the truck falls out of the ceiling:)
 
the trailer looks sweet! I'm looking forward to the movie.
 
i just hope that hollywood haven't mutillated a timeless classic.
 
It looks pretty good. I'm going to go see it. Edward Norton is awesome! Fight Club is one of the best movies that I have ever seen. Yeah, I'll definitely give this one a shot.
