Of course, I heard about it a long time ago, say six months, but . . .

THEY CANCELLED DARK ANGEL!!!!

They showed the last episode here in Oz last night - where Ames White gets hurt by Max and her crew - and I have to say, I was severely disappointed when it finished, now it's gone forever. :cry:

But it WILL live on in my memory.
 
Oh well, I never liked thow anyway. Far better shows have been canceled on FOX.

Actually, my thought was that this was finally restoring some justice back into the universe. :odd:
 
Yeah, Scifi Channel decided to can a show called Farscape sometime last year. They are going to show the rest of the season in January but they postponed the rest of it 6 months earlier. It was my favorite show too. I hate that, networks like to kill the cool shows in favor of crap ones.

This was my favorite show too, and I'll never watch the Sci-fi channel again because of the way they handled the show. They only tried running repeats once for a very short time, which never allowed people to get into the show during the off season.
I've heard on a few movie oriented websites that Henson's Studios is trying to get it made into a movie now.
The NBC president saved Quantum Leap from cancellation 3 times because he felt it was a great show and deserved to continue because it would probably live on in syndication for years as a fan favorite.
Too bad the Sci-Fi channel couldn't have had that kind of foresight.
 
Farscape was the only reason I even watched SciFi Channel. I might watch Stargate:SG1 from time to time, but Farescape was a better show because I thought it had more of a plot.
 
Makes you wonder you got a TV in the first place...

To watch commercials, of course. I've noticed as of late that a tv show that is about an hour long has a good solid 20-30 minutes of just pure commercials. And they also do it just about every five minutes. You'll see maybe two to five minutes of show and then right back to commercials. It is so annoying. Anyone else bothered by this?
 
Every one hour show is 42-46 minutes, this never wavers unless you are watching a movie or some other show where they try to fill an odd amount of time with extra commercials.
 
Anyone remember Seaquest, Viper, Reboot, or Hypernauts? Those were some good shows, but they were all canceled. :(

Viper: I kind of remember Reboot, that is if you're talking about that animated show with that kid and his dog.

Matrix: I've noticed that there'll be about 12-13 minutes of a show, followed by 2-3 minutes of commercials. It really is annoying, because sometimes they'll go to a commercial at a really good spot in a show.:irked:

It's designed that way to keep people watching the same channel instead of surfing so that you don't want to miss what happens as soon as it comes back on.

Commercials suck. Especially on Channel 7 (Oz channel) - I swear they are the best (best translating to most annoying) when it comes to commercials. ABC is the best channel when it comes to ads because there is none. You might get a few between shows, but there is none during the show. The thing is, ABC and WIN show the ****test shows. Ten is the best channel, program wise.

Heh, that's a good point, I never thought of that.
 
This is why I mainly watch the BBC, because it has no adverts at all although we do have to pay a yearly TV licence, but I think its worth it.

Also farscape was an excellent show, my dad has bought the entire 1st and 2nd series on dvd.

Seaquest was barely interesting, though I guess it's the cream of this group.

Viper (the car that is) did little, relying on that stupid CG-generated ugly flying whatever. The car hardly did any cool stunts. At least K.I.T.T., because the car was not as expensive on a tight budget to replace as the one in Viper, would drive hard, the Viper car, whatever it was called in that show, seemed rather dull to watch because it did about nothing. Reboot is just retarded. What is Hypernauts?

Just my opinions.
 
I miss reboot man, such a good show, and such a long series to it, I want it back!
 
Stargate SG1 is the stupidest show I've ever seen. I tried to watch it because I thought the original movie was okay. Oh man I was laughing and blushing with embarassment.

Thelma and Patty would love it, though...

SeaQuest was cool. It had a different perspective on how the future might look like. The CG in Viper was pretty good back then, or at least I thought it was ok. A $90,000 Viper shouldn't do stunts, that's what made Knight Rider cheesy, all of the unrealistic stunts. Reboot was great! It was completely made with CG, which was a first, way back in 1992. Hypernauts was a show about 3 cadets who got trapped in a different part of the galaxy and they needed to find a way home. (like ST: Voyager). It had great ship and mech design. It also used CG for battle scenes. It used to come on after Reboot on ABC.
 
Knight Rider was cheesy, but stunts for some is more than that over used "Turbo Boost." It's also the power slides, j-turns, etc. I've rarely seen the Viper do any of that. As for reboot. 1. Cg characters often look like plastic; not my taste. 2. I found it to be corny. Speaking of corny, have you ever seen, I mean suffered through, Transformers Armada?
 
I loved Reboot. The whole point was that it was a virtual world so the characters were supposed to look generated. I thought the story lines were good and had some humor and intelligence considering the target audience. It was especially great in comparison to the Power Rangers juggernaut and their infinite spinoffs that were popular at the time.
 
Ummmm, I believe it was an ABC cartoon. It was on for a couple of seasons of Saturday mornings around about 1994-5 or so. Yes, it was corny (the main female character's name was Dot Matrix), but it was intended to be, in the best comic-book style. I thoroughly enjyed watching it with my kid.
 
I also liked reboot. A few years ago, they showed it on Cartoon Network as part of Toonami.

Transformers Armada, don't get me started on this show. The story line is so corny that at times I could barely keep myself from throwing the TV out of the house. Another thing, is that they had to make it an anime, nothing is cool any more unless it's an anime.

A few days ago, I was flipping through the channels and came across a Speed Racer remake. Has anyone seen this, and is it any good?

PS: On another note, if you want to know almost everything about the plot of a show and when it aired, go to Yesterdayland. Its got almost every cartoon from the 50s to now.

Yah. Except for Bond movies and sport, I never watch WIN. 7 is way better, but they have monstrous quantities of ads, so there ya go, life sucks whatever you do.
